Dear NAGR supporter,

Things are moving -- fast!

On Tuesday the House Judiciary Committee is set to take up Congressman Lamar Smiths so-called "Legal Workforce Act" which includes mandatory E-Verify-Dangerous ID provisions I warned you about.

The good news is, there are a numbers on this committee who have strong records of support for your Second Amendment rights, who have also supported your right to privacy in the past.

But I'm very worried that their haste to "do something" to combat illegal immigration will cause them to overlook dangerous unintended consequences that E-verify has for gun owners, and all Americans.

Please read my email below, and then take a moment to contact the following Judiciary Committee members and urge them to stand up for gun owners' privacy by voting against the so-called "Legal Workforce Act".

  Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida)
(202) 225-2706

Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho)
(202) 225-6611

Remind them that gun owners oppose ALL national databases.

And, if you haven't already, please sign your "E-Verify: Dangerous ID Exposed" fax petition to your Representative and Senators, urging them to vote "NO!" on any so-called "Immigration Reform" schemecontaining mandatory E-Verify or an expanded database system of American citizens.

Thank you for taking action.

A Petition to my U.S. Congressman and Senators:

Whereas: For years, anti-gunners have sought to compile information about law-abiding Americans using any political issue of the day as bait; and
Whereas: E-verify already links together dozens of massive federal databases with information about every American, and puts it in a centrally accessible place; and
Whereas: Once government bureaucrats discover the value and convenience of the data E-Verify has to offer, they'll have everything they need to force it on gun owners, or for any other purpose; and
Whereas: Gun owners have faced more full frontal assaults on our gun rights and privacy now than at any time in a generation;
Therefore: I urge you to vote "NO!" on any so-called "Immigration Reform" scheme containing mandatory E-Verify or an expanded database system of American citizens.
