Dear NAGR supporter,

Capitol Hill experts are warning us that lawmakers are considering a massive DANGEROUS ID database scheme -- under the guise of "reforming" immigration through the E-Verify program.

In fact, the House Judiciary Committee will begin hearing proposals next week, beginning with Congressman Lamar Smith's "Mandatory E-Verify Act.

E-verify already links together dozens of massive federal databases with information about every American, and puts it in a centrally accessible place.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how such a system could be abused by identity thieves -- or government bureaucrats.

Once they discover the value and convenience of the data, they'll have everything they need to force it on gun owners, or for any other purpose.

Firearm purchases -- including serial numbers -- could easily be linked to the national E-Verify/DANGEROUS ID database creating an instant National Gun Registry. Ammo purchases could be linked too.

Health records, book purchases, online activity, religious views -- contribution history to political candidates -- could all be at a federal bureaucrat's fingertips!

That's why it's vital you take action right now.

Please sign your "E-Verify: Dangerous ID Exposed" fax petition to your Representative and Senators, urging them to vote "NO!" on any so-called "Immigration Reform" scheme containing mandatory E-Verify or an expanded database system of American citizens

A Petition to my U.S. Congressman and Senators:

Whereas: For years, anti-gunners have sought to compile information about law-abiding Americans using any political issue of the day as bait; and
Whereas: E-verify already links together dozens of massive federal databases with information about every American, and puts it in a centrally accessible place; and
Whereas: Once government bureaucrats discover the value and convenience of the data E-Verify has to offer, they'll have everything they need to force it on gun owners, or for any other purpose; and
Whereas: Gun owners have faced more full frontal assaults on our gun rights and privacy now than at any time in a generation;
Therefore: I urge you to vote "NO!" on any so-called "Immigration Reform" scheme containing mandatory E-Verify or an expanded database system of American citizens.
