Despite repeated efforts to hold the BATFE accountable for their actions, they have decided to thumb their noses at Congress and continue abusing their authority while putting their own agents and you, the taxpayer, at risk.

I am sure you are as outraged by this as I am.

It wasn’t enough that federal agents lost their lives over the ill-conceived Project Gunrunner, but now the BATFE is going to try and spin the story into saying they need more funding and more authority.

It’s time we add some pressure to Congress in order to reign in the Gestapo-like tactics of the BATFE.

That’s why I’ve prepared another “Investigate the BATFE” Action Fax for you to send to Speaker of the House John Boehner.  Gun owners must demand a full Congressional investigation and hearing into the “Project Gunwalker” affair.

        The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' ‘Project Gunrunner” program has knowingly released thousands of guns on to the black market in Mexico.  These transfers were negligently allowed by the BATFE, simply to advance their anti-gun political agenda.

       Rather than protecting the Constitutional rights they’ve sworn to defend, BATFE leadership has permitted its political goals to compromise American security.  To make matters worse, they are complicit in the death of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent.  The agent was killed by a gun the BATFE knowingly encouraged to be sold to Mexican drug lords.

       I demand that you condemn the BATFE and publicly call for hearings and a full investigation into the Project “Gunrunner” program, before any more Americans die.
