National Association for Gun Rights - Support Rep. Ron Hood's Constitutional Carry Bill
There's good news for your gun rights in Columbus!

State Representative Ron Hood (R-Ashville) has introduced Constitutional Carry (House Bill 387) in the Ohio Legislature again this year!

Constitutional Carry means if you can legally possess a firearm for self-defense, then you can carry it, without having to first beg for government permission.

If passed, Ohio would join Alaska, Arizona, Vermont, and Wyoming by not requiring you first pay a fee and get a government-mandated permit to carry a firearm concealed, for self-defense.

Representative Hood is also leading the charge for another pro-gun bill, HB-99, the "Second Amendment Protection Act".

This bill would prohibit ANY enforcement of ANY future federal or state firearms registration OR firearm ban statute, ordinance, resolution, or rule.

With the constant assault on your gun rights in Washington, passing strong pro-gun reforms in in Ohio is more important than ever.

But, unfortunately Republican leaders in your legislature don't want to give Constitutional Carry or the Second Amendment Protection Act the light of day.

Capitol insiders are warning that leadership is working to kill these bills as soon and as quietly as possible.

That's because they certainly don't want to have to deal with pressure from pro-gun patriots like you.

Unfortunately, gun-grabbing lobbyists like billionaire-playboy ex-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and his group Mayors Against Guns have a lot of money and time at their disposal.

And they're actively working against pro-gun legislation in hopes of arm-twisting Ohio legislative leaders into moving forward with anti-gun legitimation instead.

That's why I need need your help.

Take a stand today by signing this petition to your lawmakers in support of Constitutional Carry and the Second Amendment Protection Act, and against all anti-gun schemes in Columbus.

Thank you for taking action immediately.

Support Rep. Ron Hood's Constitutional Carry Bill (HB-387)
To members of the Ohio State Legislature and Governor John Kasich:
Whereas: The right of the people to keep and bear arms is protected both by the U.S. Constitution and by the Constitution of the state of Ohio, and;
Whereas: This inalienable right clearly includes the right to carry a handgun for self-defense, and;
Whereas: Requiring law-abiding citizens to ask government permission through the permit system before they can exercise their constitutional right to arms is a clear violation of that right, and;
Whereas: Real-life experience and extensive research both clearly demonstrate that restricting the right to bear arms in self-defense only encourages violent crime;
Therefore: I respectfully urge you as my elected representatives to publicly support, co-sponsor and vote for the Constitutional Carry bill (HB-387), and other pro-gun legislation such like the Second Amendment Protection Act (HB-99).

I also urge you to oppose and vote against any and all anti-gun schemes. The National Association for Gun Rights will keep me informed about your votes and actions.
